New Book About
This new book, written by Dr. T.E. Koshy, is the authorized biography of the life and ministry of Brother Bakht Singh, a foremost evangelist, revivalist and world-renowned New Testament Church planter of 20th-century India. Dr. Koshy is the founding elder of the International Assembly Church based in Syracuse, New York, and serves as honorary Evangelical Chaplain at Syracuse University. He holds BA degrees in Literature, Philosophy and Law from Bombay University; a Theology degree (AMBC) from England; and a MA in Journalism and Ph.D. is Mass Communications from Syracuse University. This book also contains a forward by George Verwer, founder and director of Operation Mobilization. In this book Dr. T.E. Koshy shares many unique incidents about Brother Bakht Singh which are reminiscent of the Acts of the Apostles. From his extensive research and interviews with Brother Bakht Singh, his siblings, friends, associates and fellow-believers, Dr. Koshy has written an intimate account of his vision and mission, which hitherto are not known to many. For about twenty years, from the late 60s to 80s, Dr. Koshy was able to spend time with Brother Bakht Singh during his annual visits to Syracuse, New York on a "one-on-one" basis to obtain important and intimate information for the book. This biography is a story of an ordinary man who committed himself fully to God. The Lord used him mightily to do extraordinary things in spite of his human frailties and limitations. Furthermore, this book reveals a true disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ who honored the Lord, loved Him, walked in His ways, and served Him with all his heart.
